Arthur D. “Skeeter” Fredenberg, age 78, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024, at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born on Dec. 23, 1945, in Madison, the son of Arthur K. and May (Vandenberg) Fredenberg.

 Arthur graduated from Madison East High School in 1965.  He then went on to get his auto body apprenticeship from MATC. He was united in marriage to Dora Joyce Bavery on November 7, 1970, at Brooklyn Methodist Church in Brooklyn, Wis.  He worked as a painter for Trachte, retiring in 2013.

 Arthur enjoyed bowling on a couple’s league with his dear friends, Bob and Dottie Mellenberger for 33 years, and playing cards with his many friends for numerous years. He also enjoyed feeding and watching birds.

 Arthur is survived by his wife Dora Joyce; son, Dale (Toni) Fredenberg; daughters, Dawn Jenkin and Kris Adam; sisters, Shirley (Jim) Paulley and Diane (Bruce) Powell; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his fur baby, Maddy Girl. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Joylynne; parents, Arthur and May; brother, Tim Fredenberg; and friend, Bob Mellenberger.

 A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1150 Park St., Oregon, at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, April 8, 2024. Burial will take place at Prairie Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday.
