To the Editor:
So, the party that wants to “save democracy” has booted their candidate who received over 14 million votes and has installed a candidate who has never received a single vote for president. Ironic.
Now we have VP Harris, a vice president that just a short time ago was considered a drag on the ticket and was in jeopardy of being dropped. Viewed as the worst VP in history, they decided to give her one job. So in 2021, Pres. Biden, in ceremonial fashion, put Harris in charge of our southern border. NBC even dubbed her the “Border Czar”. Three and a half years later, having never visited the border, as Lester Holt pointed out, we have had an influx of over 11 million illegal immigrants. Failure.
Now considering the border, let’s look at Sen. Baldwin. I love her ad with the sheriff wearing the stick on badge. He claims she voted 31 times to strengthen the border. Well and good, but can someone explain why she remained silent when, with the stroke of a pen, the Biden/Harris administration opened our border wide open. Allowing human trafficking and increasing the flow of fentanyl, another thing she claims to fight.
When you watch her ads against Eric Hovde, she takes one line he said out of context and turns it into something entirely different than what he was referring to. Dishonest.
Next there’s Rep. Pocan. Did he speak up about the border? Did he say anything about the sky-rocketing costs? Can anyone tell me anything he has done other than vote for the policies that have caused the inflation we’re experiencing? All we hear is “Who Can? Pocan Can”. What?
A lot of us have talked about term limits. Of course the professional politicians like Baldwin and Pocan wouldn’t vote for that. They’ve gone to Washington D.C. and gotten rich somehow. I think it’s time we vote the professional politicians out.
When I see Harris’ and Baldwin’s ads, I cringe at the flat out lies portrayed. Remember, these are the very same people whom 2 months ago were telling us Joe Biden was as sharp as a tack. There’s an old saying, “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.” Don’t be fooled by these people. They think you’re too stupid to see through their lies. Don’t prove them correct.
