MONROE - The Green County Veterans Memorial Park Board will conduct an American flag dedication ceremony at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11 at Veterans Park, Pleasant View Park on Wisconsin 81 and County N.
Local Boy Scout Alex Engels of Troop 180 chose this project to achieve his Eagle Scout award. The concrete base was prepared and flag pole erected this fall.
Local dignitaries will be present at the dedication. Veterans, their families and area residents are invited to attend the ceremony to honor all veterans who have served their country.
The site will be enhanced with additional flags representing all branches of the Armed Forces, memory garden, dedicated brick walkway, benches, additional landscaping and placement of a helicopter to honor all Green County veterans.
