BRODHEAD - A power pole in Brodhead needed to be replaced after a semi hit it midday Wednesday, according to the Brodhead Police Department. Police responded to the accident at the intersection of 1st Center Avenue and 4th Street at 11:35 a.m. The driver, a 40-year-old man from Lena, was turning right onto 4th Street when the trailer attached to the semi went over the curb and struck a power pole on the terrace on 1st Center Avenue.
