BRODHEAD —  On Nov. 2: 

● A suspicious vehicle was reported at 12:44 p.m. in the 2200 block of West 4th Avenue. Police were unable to locate vehicle. 

● A dog at large was reported at 4:23 p.m. in the 600 block of 16th Street. The dog was returned. A verbal warning was issued. 

● Suspicious activity was reported at 6:28 p.m. in the 1200 b lock of East 9th Avenue. This remains under investigation. 

On Nov. 3: 

● An abandoned car was reported at 10:47 a.m. in the 100 block of 5th Street. 

● A code violation involving merchandise blocking aisles was reported at 12:55 p.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue. The Fire Department assessed violation. 

On Nov. 4: 

● An injured beaver was reported at 7:56 a.m. in the 600 block of 15th Street. The beaver was released to a Dane County rehabilitation center. 

● A blocked sidewalk was reported at 1:16 p.m. in the 1500 block of 1st Center Avenue. The sidewalk was cleared. 

● A Janesville man, 26, was arrested on a charge of possession of THC and paraphernalia at 7:49 p.m. in the 100 block of 1st Street. 

On Nov. 5: 

● Suspicious activity involving a person attempting to enter a residence was reported at 3:31 a.m. in the 1400 block of West 3rd Avenue. The individual was transported home. 

● A barking dog was reported at 9:58 a.m. in the 1000 block of West 2nd Avenue. 

● Suspicious activity involving a vehicle at a business after hours was reported at 11:49 p.m. in the 1600 block of 1st Center Avenue. A warning was issued for curfew violation. 

On Nov. 6: 

● A domestic problem was reported at 12:27 p.m. in the 1000 block of 21st Street. 

● A Loves Park, Illinois man, 32, was arrested on a Dane County warrant at 2:32 p.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue. A Madison man, 36, was arrested on charges of bail jumping, resisting/obstructing an officer and a probation hold by Wisconsin Department of Corrections. 

For the week of Nov. 7 to Nov. 13, police performed 35 security checks, 13 citizen assists, 12 assists of other agencies, seven follow-ups to incidents, 14 vehicle registration and four traffic stops; responded to 34 calls for service and reported four EMS calls, four 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls and three fire calls. No detox or mental health transports were reported. 

On Nov. 7: 

● A Brodhead man, 18, was cited for passing in a no-passing zone and speeding at 1:05 a.m. in the 1600 block of 1st Center Avenue. 

● Fraud was reported at 11:14 a.m. in the 1600 block of 1st Center Avenue. This remains under investigation. 

On Nov. 8: 

● Loud music was reported at 7:29 a.m. in the 1000 block of West 2nd Avenue. A verbal warning was issued. 

● Vandalism was reported at 8:11 a.m. in the N400 block of 1st Center Avenue. This remains under investigation. 

On Nov. 10: 

● A Milwaukee man, 47, was arrested on a probation and parole hold at 12:46 a.m. in the 2200 block of 23rd Street. Additional charges are being referred to the District Attorney’s Office. 

● Suspicious activity involving scam calls was reported at 4:26 p.m. in the 300 block of East 23rd Street. Police advised subject to not give out any personal information. 

On Nov. 11: 

● A vehicle parked in business lot after hours was reported at 1:44 a.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue. It was found to be a business vehicle. 

● A garbage bag on the roadway was reported at 2:18 a.m. in the 900 block of East 6th Avenue. Officers removed bag. 

● An animal problem was reported at 6:05 p.m. in the 600 block of West 2nd Avenue. A verbal warning was issued. 

On Nov. 12: 

● A Brodhead man, 28, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia at 11:43 a.m. in the 1400 block of 21st Street. 

● A parking complaint was reported at 7:19 p.m. in the 1500 block of 19th Street. 

● Suspicious activity was reported at 8:51 p.m. in the 1700 block of East 4th Avenue. Officers patrolled area and found nothing suspicious. 

● A Brodhead juvenile, was cited for vandalism and possession of drug paraphernalia at 9 p.m. in the 2300 block of East 9th Avenue. 

● A Brodhead man, 32, was arrested on a warrant issued by Beloit Police Department at 4:21 p.m. Nov. 13 in the 1000 block of West Exchange Street. 

For the week of Nov. 14 to Nov. 20, police performed 23security checks, 19 citizen assists, six assists of other agencies, two follow-ups to incidents, 10 vehicle registration and six traffic stops; responded to 29 calls for service and reported nine EMS calls, 10 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls and one fire call. No detox or mental health transports were reported. 

On Nov. 14: 

● A car alarm going off was reported at 1:34 a.m. in the 1000 block of West Exchange Street. Officers found everything to be okay. 

● Suspicious activity was reported at 10:49 a.m. in the 700 block of 21st Street. 

On Nov. 15: 

● Harassment was reported at 8:18 a.m. at the police department. This remains under investigation. 

● A Pecatonica, Illinois man, 36, was cited for failure to yield right of way at stop sign at 3:26 p.m. in the 1300 block of 14th Street. 

● Harassment was reported at 4:42 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street. Caller was advised to not give out any personal information. 

● A sick racoon was reported at 1:33 p.m. Nov. 17 in the 600 block of 1st Street. Officers were unable to locate the racoon. 

On Nov. 18: 

● A Guttenberg, Iowa man, 37, was cited for failure to stop at stop sign at 10:15 p.m. in the 200 block of 1st Street. 

● Suspicious activity was reported at 11:57 p.m. in the 1600 block of 1st Center Avenue. Everything was found to be okay. 

On Nov. 19: 

● A dog at large was reported at 2:35 p.m. in the 200 block of 2nd Street. Officers were unable to locate dog. 

● Suspicious activity was reported at 11:11 p.m. in the 700 block of 21st Street. Everything was found to be okay.
