MONROE - The Monroe City Band is currently rehearsing for its 65th season and is seeking new members. The group performs a series of free and open to the public summer concerts in the Swiss-style band shell in Monroe's Twining Park, beginning this year at 7:30 p.m. Monday, June 9. Membership is open to all those who play wind or percussion instruments and have at least three years of playing experience on their instrument.
