MONROE — Most postal products and services can be done from home, with or without a computer.
Purchasing stamps is available by using your computer and going to the postal store on usps.com. Different stamp denominations are available and USPS will deliver them.
Those without a computer should ask their local post office or carrier to bring a Stamps by Mail order form that can be placed in a mailbox with a check. USPS will deliver the stamps.
Those who need to send a package can order free Priority Mail and Priority Mail Express boxes or other package supplies at usps.com. USPS will deliver the items. Also available at usps.com is a click-n-ship option where a mailing label can be printed with the appropriate postage from your computer.
Those who need a package picked up can visit usps.com and schedule a free carrier pickup. With the request, it can be noted where the package can be found and the carrier will retrieve them when delivering mail.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses.
