MONROE - A low-cost spay/neuter clinic for cats will be held July 16 at the Green County Humane Society, N3156 Wisconsin 81, Monroe, for qualified Green County residents.
Veterinarians will be on-site to perform the spay and neuter surgeries. Drop-off time will be 8 a.m. with pick-up time no later than 5 p.m. Pre-registration is required. Applications are available at the shelter and online at www.greencountyhumane.org. Ten female and 20 male cats will be accepted, with a limit of two cats per household.
Participation is based on a first come/first serve basis. The cost is $20 per cat. Feral cats will not be accepted.
All cats must weigh 2 pounds or more and be in good health. Cats must be vaccinated for rabies and distemper; if they are not currently vaccinated, the vet will vaccinate on-site prior to surgery.
