MONROE - No injuries were reported at 3:48 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31 following a two-vehicle accident at 9th Street and 17th Avenue. Charles H. Spurgeon, 32, Cupertino, Calif., was cited for operating too fast for conditions after his vehicle collided with a vehicle operated by Katie J. Gempler, 22, Monroe. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Wednesday, Jan. 1:

• Dannielle S. Kammerude, 25, Monroe, was cited for operating while suspended after deputies responded at 12:15 a.m. to a vehicle in the ditch with no damage on Wis. 81 at County Y in Monroe Township. She was released pending court.

• Bradley A. Hayden, 37, Monroe, was taken to Monroe Clinic ER by private vehicle after deputies were advised at 2:27 a.m. of a snowmobile crash that occurred on the public trail crossing at Ten Eyck Road in Decatur Township. Investigation revealed Hayden was operating his snowmobile on the public trail crossing when he hit a large drop-off and was ejected from his sled. Hayden was able to operate the sled to Brodhead where he was then taken to the hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. The snowmobile sustained moderate damage.

• Xing Xing Wang, 21, West Lafayette, Ind., was uninjured following a one-vehicle accident in the 7700 block of County H in York Township reported at 11:39 a.m. Wang was westbound on County H when he lost control of his vehicle due to slippery road conditions and hit a guardrail. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.

• Deputies responded to two reports of vehicles in the ditch in Green County. In each instance, there were no injuries or property damage.
