MONROE - On Tuesday, Feb. 4:

• Julie E. Taylor, 53, Argyle, was injured in a one-vehicle crash in the W9300 block of Rat Hollow Road, Town of Adams at 8:09 a.m. Taylor was eastbound when she reported she was forced off the roadway by a vehicle pulling out of a driveway. Taylor swerved and her vehicle entered the ditch on the north side of the roadway. Taylor refused medical treatment at the scene. The vehicle was pulled out of the ditch by a private party and driven from the scene. This incident remains under investigation.

• Juan Luis Cruz, 29, Delavan, was uninjured when the semi tanker-trailer he was driving jack-knifed in the N3400 block of Wis. 59, Town of Sylvester. Cruz was eastbound on Wis. 59 when the semi left the roadway, causing the tanker to drag the unit into the shoulder, where it jack-knifed and came to rest. The unit sustained minor damage and was removed from the ditch by a tow service.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - A deputy along with Darlington Fire Department, Shullsburg Fire Department and Rural Medical Ambulances, responded to a two-vehicle head-on accident with injuries on Wood Road, Darlington Township at 1:27 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4. Heather M. A. Martin, 31, Shullsburg, was northbound when her vehicle entered a portion of the roadway narrowed by snow and was unable to stop prior to hitting Nicholas J. Siler, 18, Shullsburg, who was northbound and could not stop as well. Both Martin and Siler were transported to Lafayette County Memorial Hospital.
