Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Sara R. Schmid, 34, South Wayne, was uninjured following a vehicle vs. deer crash in the N6600 block of County E, Town of Albany. Schmid reported traveling north on County E when a deer entered the roadway and hit her vehicle at 1:07 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21.

• Lyudmila M. Moser, 44, Monroe, was arrested for driving while under the influence and cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle following a crash in the W6000 block of Wis. 11, Town of Monroe. Moser was westbound on Wis. 11 when her vehicle drifted into the median and collided with the snow-packed ditch at 12:26 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22. She was uninjured and the vehicle was towed from the scene. Moser was jailed pending court.

On Sunday Feb. 23:

• Kayla D. Graff, 22, Belleville, sustained non-life-threatening injuries in a rollover crash in the W3900 block of Exeter Crossing Road, Town of Exeter. Graf was traveling east when her vehicle entered the west ditch, turned once and came to rest upside down. Graff was transported via Medflight to the UW Hospital. Graff was cited at 1:25 a.m. for failure to keep the vehicle under control, driving after suspension, fourth or more offense, and driving without vehicle insurance. She was released pending court. Deputies, Monticello Police, Belleville Police and New Glarus Police, EMS and Fire responded to the scene of the crash.

• Christine A. Herbst, 57, Gratiot, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle crash in the W8700 block of Wis. 11, Town of Cadiz. Herbst was westbound when a deer collided with her vehicle. The vehicle received moderate damage and was driven from the scene.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Friday, Feb. 21:

• David R. Jorgenson, 64, Gratiot, was uninjured in a one-vehicle accident on Wis. 11, South Wayne at 1:20 a.m. Jorgenson reported sliding into a ditch due to slippery road conditions. The vehicle was removed from the ditch by a tow service, then driven from the scene.

• No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident on County KK, Gratiot Township at 7:12 a.m. Constance L. Raisbeck, 35, Warren, Ill., was driving a vehicle that was rear-ended by a vehicle being driven by Gary D. Miller, 48, Argyle. Due to the white-out conditions in the area, Raisbeck lost sight on the roadway. She realized she was near the centerline and veered towards the shoulder where her vehicle was hit from the rear by Miller's vehicle.

• Deputies responded around 7:20 a.m. to several reports of slide-offs and vehicles in the ditch at various locations in Lafayette County due to white-out conditions and icy roadways. No injuries or property damage were reported from those incidents.

• Leola B. Sanderson, 61, Apple River, Ill., was transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries following a two-vehicle crash on County KK, Gratiot Township at 7:30 a.m. Christopher G. Heller, 27, Warren, Ill., was northbound when his vehicle rear-ended Sanderson's vehicle while she was slowing for white-out conditions. Sanderson and Heller's vehicles received moderate damage and were towed from the scene.

• Matthew T. Jakel, 18, Bartlett, Ill., was uninjured in a one-vehicle accident on West Mound Road, Belmont Township. Jakel reported losing control of the vehicle due to the slippery roads. His vehicle was removed by a tow service and then driven from the scene at 12:28 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22.
