MONROE - Perry A. Ditzler, 22, McConnell, Ill., was cited at 11:30 p.m. for driving too fast for conditions and released pending court Sunday, Feb. 16. Ditzler made contact with the sheriff's office after deputies were dispatched to County M near Stubbe Road, Town of Cadiz, for an abandoned vehicle in the ditch. The vehicle was impounded and later found to be Ditzler's.
Joel Trejo-Vazquez, 25, Beloit, was cited for driving without a valid driver's license at 4:07 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17, after deputies were investigating a vehicle in the ditch on Wis. 81, west of County T, Spring Grove Township. Trejo-Vazquez was eastbound when he slid into the ditch. He was released pending court.

MONROE - Police were dispatched at 7:17 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17, to 18th Avenue and 7th Street for a two-vehicle accident with no injuries. Troy G. Pryce, 42, Monroe, was driving when his vehicle hit a vehicle operated by a 30-year-old male from Monroe. Pryce was cited for failure to yield right-of-way from a yield sign.

DARLINGTON - On Monday, Feb. 17:
Non-life-threatening injuries were reported in a one-vehicle rollover crash on U.S. 151, Kendall Township at 12:47 a.m. Susan K. Austin, 49, Cuba City, was southbound when she failed to negotiate a curve causing her vehicle to roll over. She and her passenger, Michael E. Beltran, 51, Monroe, reported no injuries. Her other passengers: Autum J. Elliott, 18, and Darren M. Droessler, 22, both of Lancaster, were transported to an area hospital with injuries they received in the crash. Austin was cited for failure to control a vehicle. Belmont Fire Department and Belmont Ambulance also assisted at the scene.
Deputies responded to reports of several slide-offs around 10 a.m. and vehicles in the ditch at various locations in Lafayette County due to slippery road conditions caused by falling snow and white-out conditions. No injuries or property damage were reported from those incidents.
Aron E. Mentz, 34, Dubuque, reported no injuries at 10:08 a.m. after the semi-truck he was driving overturned onto its passenger side on U.S. 151, Belmont Township. Mentz was southbound when he lost control on the snow-covered roadway; the semi entered the median and hit the snow bank causing the semi to overturn. Mentz's semi sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.

Eaton, 30, Shullsburg, was southbound when she lost control on the snow-covered roadway. Eaton's vehicle slid across the roadway hitting a snow bank on the west side of the road, then spun back and slid into the snow bank on the east side of the road. Eaton was transported to a local hospital for injuries she received in the crash. Shullsburg Ambulance and Shullsburg Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
