MONROE - Two people were injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the W3700 block of County W. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Kelsey Gill, 17, Belleville, left the road, went down an embankment and overturned. Gill sustained injuries and was taken to Meriter Hospital in Madison. A passenger in the vehicle, Thomas McLean, 20, Belleville, sustained cuts and bruises but declined medical treatment at the scene. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed.

• One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 5:15 p.m. Sunday in the N5500 block of Peebles Road in Albany township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by a 15-year-old Albany male left the road, hit several small trees and overturned. The driver and a 15-year-old passenger, also from Albany, fled the scene. They later were located. The driver was taken to Monroe Clinic by private vehicle for injuries. The passenger was not injured. The driver was cited for driving without a license, failure to maintain control of a vehicle and failure to fasten his seatbelt. The passenger was cited for failure to fasten a seatbelt. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed.

• One person was injured in an all-terrain vehicle accident at about 7 p.m. Saturday in the W1200 block of Wisconsin 11 in Spring Grove township. Deputies report that Charles A. Fink, 25, Brodhead, was thrown from the ATV when he tried to jump a driveway. He sustained injuries and was taken to Monroe Clinic by Brodhead Emergency Medical Service. Fink was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. The ATV received moderate damage.

• Maggie M. Salzwedel, 21, Monroe, was arrested for drunken driving and hit-and-run following a two-vehicle accident reported at about 2:15 a.m. Sunday in the W5200 block of County KK. Deputies report a vehicle owned by Donald W. Lepper, 33, Monroe, was hit while it was parked in the parking lot at a business on County KK. Lepper noticed it had been hit. His vehicle received minor damage. Further charges against Salzwedel are pending.
