MONROE - No one was injured and no anhydrous ammonia leaked from a tank that over turned at about 4:15 p.m. Thursday on County S at Preston Road, Town of Jefferson. The tank, being pulled by a truck driven by Brandon J. Spray, 20, Pecatonica, Ill., started to roll over during a turn onto County S. Deputies report Spray stopped the vehicle, but the tank and running gear overturned onto its side, damaging only the hitch. It appeared that either one or two of the rear bolts that held the tank to the running gear might have broken. The weight shifted when the tank was making the turn, causing the tank to roll over. The tank and running gear are owned by FS of Stephenson County. The truck was driven from the scene. The running gear and tank sustained severe damage.
