New Glarus police seek home invasion suspect

NEW GLARUS - New Glarus Police officers were called to a Windlach Street residence at about 9:15 p.m. Saturday for a report of an intruder in the home.

Police report the home had been unoccupied for about three hours when a family member arrived. The 15-year-old heard a noise in the home and discovered a person who fled the home on foot.

New Glarus officers, assisted by Green County Sheriff's deputies and a Department of Natural Resources ranger, searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. The suspect is described as a male, about 6 feet tall, wearing a black sweatshirt with a hood and black sweatpants. The suspect last was seen running west from the home.
