MONROE - A rural Monroe man with five convictions of driving while intoxicated was arrested again on the same charge late Tuesday, May 8, north of town.

Jeffrey E. Flick, 49, was stopped for a traffic infraction on County Y east of Rufenacht Road, according to the Green County Sheriff's Department. Deputies reported finding open beer in the vehicle.

Flick faces his sixth DWI charge, a felony, and has been jailed pending court. He was also cited for speeding and having open intoxicants in a vehicle. Test results of Flick's blood-alcohol level are forthcoming.

According to court records, Flick was most recently convicted of DWI in 2006, for an offense that occurred in October 2005. Judge James Beer sentenced him to two years of probation and six months in jail and revoked his driver's license for three years.
