Michael A. Wong age 50 of Monroe, Wisconsin died Saturday, January 8, 2011 in Madison. He was born May 17, 1960 at St. Clare Hospital in Monroe the son of Kay and Orvilla (Norder) Wong. Michael graduated from Monroe High School in 1978, attended UW Whitewater, and graduated from Olivet Nazarene College in Kankakee, IL with a degree in Computer Systems Management.
Michael and Bernadette M. Bandi were married on November 11, 1989 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Albany. Mike was a Computer Systems Manager at various firms in Chicago, U.W. Hospital in Madison and was a member of Monroe Bible Church in Monroe.
Mike enjoyed cooking, motorcycling, beaches, spending time with family & friends, and his faith was the center of his life.
Surviving are his wife, Bernadette Wong; son, Jonathon Wong; daughter, Sarah Wong all of Monroe, WI; parents, Walter & Orvilla Gales of Chicago, IL; sister, Linda (Mike) Tompkins of Bloomingdale, IL; and many other relatives & friends. He was predeceased by his father, Kay Wong and grandparents, Orville & Esther Norder and Chew & Machee Wong.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Monroe Bible Church in Monroe with Pastor Dan Krahenbuhl officiating.
Burial will be at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery in Monroe.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Drive and N. 18th Avenue in Monroe.
