Mary A. Bandi, age 91 of Albany, Wisconsin died Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Pleasant View Nursing Home. She was born February 1, 1922 in Darlington, Wisconsin the daughter of Joseph and Alice (Burgess) Howard and graduated from Darlington High School.
Mary married Emil Bandi on April 15, 1941 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Darlington. Mary was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Albany for more than 50 years, St. Patrick's Altar Society, was a waitress in Hanover and Albany, and a cashier at Union Coop Service Station in Albany.
Surviving are her children, Ernest (Yolanda) Bandi of Glendora CA, Leah (William) Carr of Marengo, IL, Theresa (Bernard) Vine of Albany, WI, Bernadette Wong of Monroe, WI, and Michael Bandi of San Dimas CA; sisters, Grace Sullivan of Humboldt, TN and Lucille Howard of Monroe, WI; 10 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Emil; sisters, Jane Kuhlman, Ruth Nelson, Juanita Olson, and Hazel Weissenfluh; infant grandson, Charles Vine; son-in-law, Michael Wong; nephew, Robert Olson; and Janie Fedwick.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday, January 31, 2014 at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Drive and N. 18th Avenue in Monroe and from 10:00 A.M. Saturday until time of Mass at the church.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 1, 2014 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Albany with Fr. Michael Moon Celebrating. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Albany.
A Memorial Fund is being established in Mary's memory.
