Kathryn L. Rupp, 89, of Normal, died at 3:40 a.m. Sunday, November 18, 2012 at Heritage Manor, Normal.
Her memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday (11-23-12) at Carmody-Flynn Williamsburg Funeral Home, Bloomington, with Rev. Camilla Hempstead officiating. Inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe, Wisconsin, at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
She was born September 15, 1923 in Monroe, Wisconsin, a daughter of Jacob and Edna Geigel Rupp.
Surviving are three sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" Rupp of Bloomington, Judith (Nathan) Klassy of Monroe, WI, and Janet (David) Holman of Bloomington; and nieces and nephews, Laura (Steven) Furlong, Susan (Chris) Griswold, Yvonne (Ryan) Schutte, Keith (Maria) Klassy, Jonathon Rupp and Martha (Harrell) Moffett.
She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
Kate earned her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. She began her working career as a medical technologist at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and retired from the State of Illinois where she was employed as an accountant.
