Monroe - James Walters, age 63, of Monroe, WI, passed away at his home on Monday, January 4, 2016. He was born on June 26, 1952 in Monroe, WI, the son of Arnold and Mary Anna (McKeel) Walters.

Jim lived most of his life in Monroe and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He had been a truck driver for many companies, but his favorite was Bestway. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, country music, and country shows - especially John Wayne.

He is survived by three daughters, Rachel Schild, Shawna Newcomb, Ashley (Casey) Ford, all of Monroe; siblings, John Walters, Juda, Arnold David Walters, Necedah, Frances Kay Danielson, Hamilton, IL, Kenneth, Jeff, Steve Walters, all of Monroe, Mary (Leroy) Richards, Brodhead, Betty (Alan) Korn, Orfordville, Darrel Walters, Footville; devoted partner, Mary Wing, Monroe; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Peter, Bruce and Alvin; two nieces, Brenda Kay Danielson and Kimberly Marie Richards.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, January 8, 2016, at the D.L. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, BRODHEAD, WI. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.dlnewcomerfuneralhome.com.
