Fannie "Eileen" Sorenson

Fannie "Eileen" Sorenson was born on February 4th, 1928 in South Wayne, Wisconsin, the daughter of William Norman Deetz and Luella (nee Johnson) Deetz. Her elementary schooling took place in a one room West Wayne School. She graduated from South Wayne High School. Fannie Eileen attended U.W. Platteville, then known as Platteville State College, for one year. Then she went to Stout Institute, now known as U.W. Stout, and graduated with a degree in Home Economics. She taught Home Economics and General Science at Bellville, Wisconsin for two years. Her next job took her to Central High School (now known as Westosha) where she taught Home Economics for eight years.

Eileen married Vaughn Sorenson on December 26th, 1959 at the West Wiota Lutheran Church in Wiota, Wisconsin. They have five children and seven grandchildren. Diane Lynn married to Bob Schilz. They have one daughter Holly and live in Rochester, Wisconsin. Patricia Ann married to Michael Loeffl. They have two sons Christopher and Matthew and live in Grayslake, Illinois. Scott Vaughn married to Kim Krumm. They have two daughters Carly Kay and Gemma and live in Queens, NY. Chris William married to Kathy Gritz. They have two children Ashley and Ryan and live in Coconut Creek, Florida. Christine Hazel married to Mark Renzoni live in Margate Florida. She is further survived by her brother John Deetz. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Vaughn, sister-in-law Shirley Deetz and brother-in-law Keith Sorenson.

Eileen was clothing leader and General Leader of the Brighton Bombers 4-H Club for several years. She also served on the County 4-H board and was president for one year. She was a member of the county clothing committee. She was a charter member of Christ Lutheran Church and was active in the women's group, taught Sunday school and served on church council.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nurses at Burlington Memorial Hospital, the At Home Hospice staff and the staff at Waterford Senior Living for their care and compassion.

In lieu of flowers the family has suggested memorials be made to Westosha Central High Scholarship Fund or Christ Lutheran Church, Paddock Lake.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 21st 11:30 AM at Christ Lutheran Church, Paddock Lake, WI. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home and also at Church on Wednesday, February 21st from 10:00 AM until 11:15 AM. Burial will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery on Wednesday at 2:00 PM.
