Daniel "Barney" K. Reynolds

Daniel "Barney" K. Reynolds, 64 of Lena passed away on December 26, 2017 at his home in Lena surrounded by his loving family. Daniel was born on September 11, 1953 in Dubuque, Iowa the son of Carl and Dorothy VanLent Reynolds. In 1979, He married Lissia Brown and joyfully welcomed a son, McAllister into their life. In 1992, he met Jeanette Koehler who became his loving partner until his passing. They enjoyed many happy years together living in Lena.

Daniel was employed for over 20 years by Pearl City Elevator until semi-retiring in 2015 and then working part-time for Coaches' Golf and Grill. He loved to mow and maintain the golf course. He was a very avid deer hunter and was always happiest "in the stand" often sitting dawn to dusk. Besides hunting, Barney enjoyed playing golf, trapping and playing cards with an occasional fishing trip thrown in.

Survivors include his son Mack Reynolds of New Glarus; his long time partner Jeanette Koehler of Lena; His father Carl (Billie) Reynolds of Monroe; his siblings- Doug Reynolds, Dave (Sue) Reynolds, Sharon Brinkmeier, and Steve (Barb) Reynolds all of Apple River, Tim (Nancy) Reynolds and Jeff (Laura) Reynolds of Warren, Melissa (Steve) Guth, Jackie (Jim) Fero, Casey Reynolds and Corry (Katie) Reynolds all of Wisconsin ; Jeanette's children Leonard (Nora) Koehler of Lena, daughter-in-law Karen Koehler of Monroe, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Reynolds and Jeanette's son Larry Koehler in May 27, 2017.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the Leamon Funeral Home in Lena, IL.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at the Leamon Funeral Home in Lena, IL.

Father Michael Morrissey will officiate the services.

Burial will be at St. Josephs Catholic Cemetery in Apple River.

A memorial has been established in his name.
