Brett David Baumgartner age 19 of South Wayne, Wisconsin died Friday, August 13, 2010 as the result of a 4 Wheeler accident. He was born September 29, 1990 at Darlington, WI, the son of David M. and Carol J. (Engeli) Baumgartner and graduated from Black Hawk High School in South Wayne, class of 2009. He also attended Southwest Technical College in Fennimore. Brett farmed in the South Wayne Area, enjoyed 4 wheeling, hunting, fishing, driving his John Deere tractor, spending time with family & friends, and giving everyone a nickname. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and Blackhawk FFA in South Wayne.
Surviving are his parents, David (Carie Rackow) Baumgartner of Monroe & Carol (Steve Lehman) Baumgartner of South Wayne; siblings, Staci Baumgartner, Amy (Adam) Corley, Andy Baumgartner, Casandra Rackow, Joshua Farrey, Brianna Farrey, Robert Lehman, Steva Lehman, & Joshua Lehman; grandparents, Herb & Pat Baumgartner of Gratiot; nieces & nephews, Jayden & Tatum Baumgartner, Riley, Kale, & Caleb Corley, & Cade Pickett; special friend, Mandi Wilde; and many Aunts, Uncles, & Cousins. He is predeceased by his grandparents, Harold & Gladys Engeli.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Gratiot with Fr. David Wanish Celebrating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery in South Wayne.
Visitation will be from 4:00 until 9:00 P.M. Tuesday at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Drive & north 18th Avenue in Monroe with a Prayer Service at 9:00 P.M. and from 10:00 to time of service at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the church.
A memorial fund is being established in Brett's memory.
