Alan August Martini, 72, of Roanoke Rapids, NC, died Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at his home, surrounded by his wife and children.

Alan was born on June 1, 1945 to the late August and Eileen Elmer Martini. He was the second of three children and grew up on the family farm in Green County, Wis. Alan Graduated from Albany High School in 1963. He was united in Marriage to the love of his life, Lynne Reasa on July 10, 1965. The couple continued the family tradition of farming in Green County.

Alan and Lynne relocated to Roanoke Rapids, NC in 2000 to be close to their children and grandchildren. There, Alan was employed with the Roanoke Rapids Graded School District. He was an active member of First United Methodist Church, the Men's breakfast, and the Food Pantry.

Alan enjoyed wood working, fishing, playing cards, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by: his wife Lynne Reasa Martini; daughter, Lana (David) King of Roanoke Rapids, NC; son Dale (Elizabeth) Martini of Wake Forest, NC; sister, Mary Martini, of Yuma, AZ; brother Ron (Karen) Martini of Monroe, WI; four grandchildren, Caleb and Carter Horn of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Noah and Charlotte Martini of Wake Forest, NC; brothers-in-law Terry (Maria) Reasa, Mark (Carol) Reasa, sister-in-law Debra (Dean) Houlberg, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Monroe United Methodist Church, Monroe, WI, Saturday, November 11, 2017, at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church on Saturday morning.
