MONROE - Monroe Main Street's 11th annual Christmas parade is set for 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7.
The parade theme is "Dickens's Christmas on the Square" and individuals, business and organizations can participate with an entry.
The parade will start at the Monroe Middle School northside/school district's parking lot, 1510 13th St., and proceed around the Square returning to the parking lot.
Generators will be available from Precision Drive and Control, Inc. for any entry that needs electricity for lighting. Those who need one need to make arrangements to reserve and pick up a generator. There is a limited supply which will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
The east side of the Square will be blocked off for the floats to be displayed and for additional events after the parade.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will make an appearance after the parade at the Wisconsin Bank and Trust, 1717 10th St.
