MONROE – Woodford State Bank announced Dec. 1 its acquisition of the Darlington Branch of The Greenwood’s State Bank. The two banks signed an agreement for Woodford State Bank to acquire certain loans, deposits and facilities of the Darlington branch.

“This acquisition represents an opportunity for Woodford to continue to build our presence and invest in Lafayette Count,” said Scott DeNure, President of Woodford State Bank. 

Woodford plans to utilize the Darlington branch location for retail and drive-up banking services.
