MONTICELLO — The Erik Olsen for Congress Campaign held a fundraiser at the Pink Heifer in Monticello on Wednesday, June  19. 

Green County Republican Chairperson, John Fandrich, served as masters of ceremonies and former Wisconsin Assembly person Keith Ripp was the keynote speaker. Ripp is a farmer, former legislator, and the Wisconsin Assistant Deputy Secretary at the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer protection.

Ripp talked about the following topics important to Green County farmers:

●  Impact of interest rates and inflation on farming

●  How legislation can support small farmers

●  Restrict foreign investment loopholes

●  Dangers of rolling back the Trump Death Tax relief 

The event was successful in raising thousands of dollars needed by the Erik Olsen for Congress Campaign. Olsen faces off with Charity Berry in the Republican Primary being held Aug. 13.
