JUDA - Juda Fore Fathers will be hosting the 10th annual Memorial Celebration Friday through Saturday in the parking lot between L & S Truck Services and the Juda Community Center in downtown Juda.

Festivities start Friday with a beer garden open from 5 p.m. to midnight, live music by JD and the Boys and a food stand hosted by the Juda Fire Department. Attendees will be able to register for Saturday's Poker Run. Bidding will begin on silent auction items.

Registration for the Poker Run also will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday. Juda Fire Department will host a pancake breakfast, and a chicken barbecue hosted by Juda FFA alumni will be serving from noon to 7 p.m. Live music by Decades Rock will be from 1 to 5 p.m. There will be games, a silent auction with a live auction starting at about 7 p.m. and food stands by Juda Boy Scouts and Frybabies. Live music will be performed Saturday evening by Zac Matthews Band.

New to the event this year will be a ceremony presenting four veterans with Quilts of Valor to thank them for their service to the country. Presentation of the quilts will be at 6:40 p.m. Saturday.

The Juda Fore Fathers holds yearly events and has donated more than $15,000 this year to area organizations and local families. The organization also formed a scholarship fund and committee in 2015. Two Green County schools will be selected each year to receive the scholarship. Graduates from South Wayne and Argyle schools won scholarships this year, and each graduate from Juda High School received a monetary donation.
