MONROE — SSM Health Monroe Volunteer Services recently announced the 2022 recipients of the scholarship awards for students seeking a career in a health-related field. 

The High School scholarship was awarded to four graduating seniors. The recipients of a $500 scholarship are Alyssa Roelli and Taylor Rufer of Monroe School District, and Sydney O’Flanagan and Emmaline Marty of New Glarus School District. 

The Advanced Studies scholarship was awarded to five area college students who completed at least one year of advanced study (beyond high school) in a health-related field. A $1,500 scholarship was awarded to Lauren Swanson, Linnea Tabaka, Grace Tostrud, Breanna Schneider and Grace Mathiason. 

Applicants are required to have a GPA of 3.25 or higher and are evaluated on citizenship, need and pursuit of a degree or certificate in the healthcare field. Recipients of the scholarships must either live within an area serviced by an SSM Health Monroe Clinic Medical Group clinic or have a parent who is employed by the organization. Each application is reviewed by a scholarship committee.
