Free cookout to celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride Month
Grille

MONROE — The Democratic Party of Green County will hold a free cookout on Saturday, June 17, to mark the recent approval by the Green County Board of a resolution designating June as LGBTQ+ Pride Month in Green County. The cookout will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Northeast Park, 2700 5th St, Monroe.

LGBTQ+ Pride Month celebrates the value of diversity in Green County and acknowledges that LGBTQ+ individuals have contributed immeasurably to the economic prosperity and cultural vitality of our community.

The cookout is free of charge and will feature hot dogs, bratwursts and veggie dogs. Although not required, it’s suggested that persons who wish to attend should contact the Democratic Party of Green County in advance so a sufficient amount of food can be prepared. If planning on attending, email greencodems@gmail.com.  If not sure, just stop on the day of the cookout as all walk-ins are welcome.
