MONROE - Susan Myoyu Andersen Roshi will present an introductory class on Zen meditation from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 5, at Great Plains Zen Center, W7762 Falk Rd., Monroe.
Suggested donation is $15, $8 for seniors, students, special circumstances. Wheelchair accessible.
Participants will receive instruction in how to do Zen meditation and will learn about the types and goals of Zen practice, the benefits, and how to keep practice at home going successfully.
Both newcomers and those with experience are welcome. Zen meditation can be practiced by people of any religious tradition and can help with reducing everyday stress, promoting clarity of mind, concentration and compassion toward all beings.
