MONROE - During the Green County HCE Spring Cultural Arts Show held on May 15 at the Green County Justice Center, speaker Christie Strait spoke on her dolls donated to the Historical Society.
Refreshments were served by Mary Ann Krebs and Ursula Meier, co-chairs of the event.
People choice awards went to Krebs with her quilt and Sue Lyons with a ceramic owl.
Projects going to the fall state HCE conventions are by Krebs, Nancy Signer, Andrea Byerly, Kathy Weaver and Beth Campell.
Other competitors were Mary Ann Stauffacher, Ruth Hanson, Norma Bader, JoAnne Clark, Kris Winkler, Lynn Lokken and Joyce Anderson, in projects from poems, scrapbooking and jewelry to quilting and knitting.
Ella Sanderson and Lynn Lokken were installed as incoming presidents. Past presidents are Beth Cambell and Norma Bader.
