MONROE — Green County Development Corporation (GCDC) kicked off the Community Conversations program in Brooklyn, at the Cantering Café on July 27. Community Conversations is a program to increase awareness throughout the county about GCDC programs and services.
Conversations focused on local growth opportunities through entrepreneurship, placemaking, GCDC’s Pop-Up Shop program and Revolving Loan Fund, and working together to help entrepreneurs and communities grow.
Local residents and entrepreneurs were able to talk with village officials, including Kathy Pennington, Green County Board Chair for Brooklyn, and Linda Kuhlman, Brooklyn Village Clerk-Treasurer.
“We had great conversations yesterday with small business owners about services that Green County Development Corporation offers to help build and grow their businesses. These meetings are a great way for municipal leaders and business owners to work together to strengthen their communities,” said Kuhlman.
GCDC will be continuing Community Conversations in communities throughout the county. Dates and details can be found by clicking the social media icons on their webpage, greencountydevelopment.com or by contacting them directly at GCDC@greencountydevelopment.com, or 608.328.9452.
