'Divine Providence' marks CDA's 90th

MONROE - The Catholic Daughters of the Americas-Wisconsin Chapter will hold its 45th Biennial State Convention on Friday, April 5 and Saturday, April 6 in Monroe. The theme will be "Through Divine Providence."

This year marks the 90th anniversary of the CDA Wisconsin State Court.

The event will hold activities including a convention, committee meetings, workshops, mass celebrations, motivational speakers and entertainment.

Workshops by Pro Life Wisconsin will be held the morning of April 5 at Turner Hall, 1217 17th Ave.

The memorial mass for the deceased of CDA will be held at 12:30 p.m. April 5 at St. Victor Church of St. Clare of Assisi Parish, 1760 14th St.

The convention business meeting will be held at Turner Hall.

Guest speaker Jane McAuliffe, will lead the group in the convention theme.

CDA Wisconsin State Chaplain Monsignor Charles Schluter will speak on Saturday, April 6.

Business meetings will be held at Turner Hall both days. Mass and the installation of new state officers for 2013-15 will be held at 6:15 p.m. April 6.

Entertainment following the banquets each night and will give Wisconsin CDA a bit the Swiss Heritage of Green County.

Court Mazzuchelli No. 2609 of Green County is the host court for the convention.
