Concert to benefit Albany library planned for Dec. 15

30 spots for event available; tickets cost $10



ALBANY - Albany musicians Robert Haigler and Roald Henderson will perform a fundraising Christmas concert for 30 people in their home at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15. All proceeds benefit the Albertson Memorial Library, Albany.

Tickets are available to purchase at Albertson Memorial Library, 200 N. Water St., for $10 each on a first-come, first-served basis. Friends of Albertson Memorial Library will provide a coffee reception following the concert.

Haigler and Henderson have been members of the Albany community for seven years, beginning as weekend commuters from Chicago and now as full-time residents. Haigler has taught piano and worked as a soloist and accompanist for more than 35 years. Henderson's singing career has included solo appearances with the Chicago Symphony, the Apollo Chorus of Chicago, and with a number of colleges and choirs throughout the Midwest. Haigler and Henderson have given many recitals over the years, most recently as benefits for the Lakeview Food Pantry and Uptown Ministries Food Program in Chicago.
