NEW GLARUS - AMVETS Post #69 will meet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 4, in the Chalet Landhaus meeting room, New Glarus. There will be election of officers and a special speaker.

ALBANY - The Albany United Methodist will host special musical worship at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 2.

Bruce and Dan, a popular musical duo, will be coming to Albany to perform country music, ballads, and blues, performed by acoustic guitarists with a unique blend of voices. They also add humor and a Christian message.

MONROE - Monroe Theatre Guild will hold "It Ain't Too Much - Just Jam" Michael Jackson Dance Camp from May 11 through June 25 (seven classes and a performance). Ages 7-10 will meet from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and ages 11-18 meet from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. This class is for everyone. Students will learn Michael Jackson-inspired dances to some of his most famous songs such as "Beat It" and "Thriller." The camp will culminate in a tribute performance on June 25. VA hospital honors area volunteers

MADISON - The William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital, Madison, conducted its annual volunteer recognition luncheon on April 28, according to Deborah A. Thompson, director. There are 278 individual awards being presented at the luncheon. The hospital has 550 dedicated volunteers providing over 90,000 hours of service annually.

Volunteer award recipients from Monroe are: Rosie Wenger, certificate for 3,080 hours and 10 years; and Rosemarye Showers, certificate for 2,089 Hours and 10 years.
