Klondike Cheese Company wins 16 awards at the Wis. State Fair 2021

MONROE — Klondike Cheese Company won big at the 2021 Wisconsin State Fair Blue Ribbon Dairy Products Contest. Both Odyssey Brands and Buholzer Brothers found numerous honors in their respected classes. There were over 400 entries this year.

Odyssey Feta had a clean sweep with titles for first, second, and third in the “Reduced Fat or Lite Cheese” category with their Reduced Fat Mediterranean Herb Feta, Reduced Fat Feta, and Reduced Fat Tomato Basil Feta. The Feta in Brine placed third in the “Feta” class.

Odyssey Yogurt and Greek Yogurt racked up five top awards including, three first places, one second place, and one third place. Odyssey Sour Cream and Greek Yogurt Dips also finished with a clean sweep in the “Low Fat Sour Cream” category with their Greek Tzatziki, Reduced Fat Sour Cream, and their French Onion Greek Yogurt Dip. Odyssey® Sour Cream placed first in the “Unflavored Sour Cream” class. 

Buholzer Brothers Havarti placed first and third in the “Havarti” class. Buholzer Brothers Dill Havarti placed third in the “Flavored Havarti” class.  

“We take pride in the making of our products. Competing and doing well in contest confirms that our attention to quality, flavor, and consistency pays off and we know that the end consumers recognize this too,” said Luke Buholzer of Klondike Cheese Company. 

The 2021 Wisconsin State Fair Blue Ribbon Dairy Products Contest was held June 23 at Wisconsin State Park. The contest featured over 415 entries. Grand Champions will be announced at the Blue-Ribbon Dairy Products Auction on Thursday, August 12 at the Wisconsin State Fair Park.
