MONROE - Patrick Gellings, Monroe, recently received a University of Wisconsin-Platteville Community Scholarship for Monroe High School through the UWP Foundation.
The UWP Community Scholarship Program is designed to provide community support to the high school of a donor's choice. Gellings will use this scholarship toward attending UWP in the fall.
Gellings will be a freshman at UWP majoring in music education. He is a 2010 graduate of Monroe High School and the son of Steve and Lisa Gellings, Monroe.
The goal of the UWP Community Scholarship Program is to provide assistance to graduating high school seniors who will be attending UWP.
Any graduating high school senior in a participating community accepted into UWP is eligible to receive a scholarship.
