MONROE — The Monroe Parks and Recreation Department has openings in the tennis lesson program, which is for students in grades 4K through sixth grade. Signup is available at the Monroe Parks and Recreation office, 1110 18th Ave.

The Tiny Tot Tennis Session 1, for children in 4K and kindergarten, will be from 8-8:45 a.m. July 15-18, with Session 2 July 22-25, at Recreation Park’s tennis courts. A parent or babysitter will need to accompany the child. 

Children entering grades 1-2 will hold lessons from 8:45-9:30 a.m. on Mondays and Thursdays July 15-25. Grades 3-4 would be from 9:45-10:30 a.m. the same days.

Session 2 for grades 1-6 are from July 29-Aug. 8. First- and second-graders would practice from 8-8:45 a.m., with grades 3-4 from 8:45-9:30 a.m. and grades 5-6 practicing from 9:30-10:15 a.m.
