VIOLA - Pecatonica-Argyle finished fifth (81) and Black Hawk (42) was 12th out of 13 teams at the Scenic Ridge and Rivers Conference tournament Saturday.
Pecatonica-Argyle junior Eli Davis at 145 pounds finished 2-1 at the tournament and took second place. Davis North Crawford/Seneca's Kaleb Davenport in 5 minutes, 58 seconds. Davis defeated River Ridge/Cassville's David Seng 7-0 in the semifinals.
In the championship match, Davis was pinned by Cashton's Dillon Flock in 3:35.
Black Hawk senior Bryant Luhman (171) went 2-1 and finished third. He defeated Hillsboro's Max Sebranek 7-4 in the third-place match. Luhman opened the tournament by pinning Brookwood's Chris Westerman in 4:45. He then lost to Royall's Drew Morelan 7-4 in the semifinals.
The Warriors had two other wrestlers take fourth, including freshman Jared Pickett (103) and junior Andy Stauffacher at heavyweight.
The Vikings had three wrestlers finish fourth, including sophomore Cody James (119), senior Chris James (130) and Travis Gilson (152).
