Squirt B takes fourth at state

STOUGHTON - The Squirt B Avalanche hockey team traveled to Stoughton for the Region 4 State Tournament over the weekend and finished in fourth place.

In game one on Saturday, the Avalanche took on Marshfield. The Avalanche played hard, and the game was tied going into the third period. Early in the third period, the Avalanche scored four goals to beat Marshfield in round one.

Satchel Moorman saved 19 shots between the pipes. 

Goals for the game were scored by Owen Hicks on an assist by Tysen Folgate in the second period.

Third-period goals were scored by Logan Keleher on an assist by Brixen Dale, Folgate on an assist by Garrison Lemak and a solo goal by Brady Jones. The final goal of the game was scored by Tre Dammen on an assist by Kyler Benson.

The second game was against Black River Falls. This one did not go as well; the Avalanche fell 4-0. Moorman had 30 saves at the net.  

On Sunday, the Avalanche played Tomahawk. The Squirt B team played its heart out, but it was not enough to defeat Tomahawk and the Avalanche fell 4-0.

Moorman had 38 saves.
