BRODHEAD - It was a special season for the Brodhead girls basketball team and the honors keep rolling in.
Brodhead sophomore Carly Mohns was named the Rock Valley South All-Conference Player of the Year and coach Brad Pickett was named the coach of the year. Mohns averaged 14.8 points and 10.7 rebounds per game to lead the Cardinals to a repeat as conference champions.
Brodhead (21-4) advanced to the sectional semifinal where the Cardinals lost to East Troy 58-37.
Brodhead junior Taylor Douglas was also named first-team all-conference. Brodhead sophomore Rachel Heller and junior Amanda Pickel were named second-team all-conference. Junior Mariah Ahrens was selected honorable mention all-conference.
