MONONA - After winning the season-opening Stoughton Invitational on Monday, the Monroe High School boys golf team's Badger South Conference opener didn't go as planned Tuesday.
Monona Grove knocked off Monroe 160-170. Monroe junior Nick Baumann and freshman Jack Rogerson each shot a team-best 41 for the Cheesemakers.
Monroe senior Tanner Thompson carded a 43 and Kyle Krebs shot a 45. One day after winning the Stoughton Invitational individual championship, Monroe junior Devon Boeck shot a 46.
