RIVER RIDGE - River Ridge swept both the boys and girls Six Rivers meet on Tuesday.
The Timberwolves boys outdistanced Benton-Sclaes Mound 178.5-104 and the Timberwolves girls beat Belmont 160-132.
The Black Hawk and Monticello boys tied for third place (85) in the eight-team meet. The Pecatonica-Argyle girls took third.
Black Hawk senior Chris Priebe won the 800 and 1,600-meter runs. Priebe won the 800 with a time of 2 minutes, 13.76 seconds, which was less than six seconds ahead of sophomore teammate Dakota Meier (2:19:49). In the 1,600, Priebe ran a 4:45.11 to edge Monticello senior Evan Schultz by less than three seconds.
Pec-Argyle junior Nathan Loyd won the 400 (:54.93). Albany junior Chase Helland won the 3,200 (11:45.8) and sophomore teammate Logan Webb took the discus (115 feet, 11 inches). Helland was second in the pole vault (9-0).
Black Hawk's 400 relay team of Jace Johnsrud, Hayden Schliem, Jayden Rufenacht and Shawn Woodruff won with a time of 47.15. Johnsrud added second-place finishes in the long jump (19-1) and in the 100 (11.62).
Pec-Argyle's 800 relay team of Kyle Zwicker, Gabe Greenwood, Wyatt Massey and Marcus Rubio took first in 1:42.23, about one second ahead of Black Hawk. Massey teamed with Loyd, Cameron Colson and Rubio to win the 3,200 relay in 8:52.6 - well ahead of second-place Albany (9:16.83).
In girls action, Pec-Argyle senior Kendra Sigg won the 800 in 2:34.52, Albany sophomore Bailey Hlavachek won the 400 (1:05.18) and Monticello's Katie Nelson triumphed in the 1,600 (6:09.93).
Black Hawk senior Katie Powers won the 3,200 (14:42.13) and classmate Olivia Holland won the 300 hurdles (51.61).
The Vikings' 400 relay team of Brittany Ziller, Hannah Swenson, Abby Flanagan and Katie Zwicker won the 400 relay in 56.49, just ahead of Black Hawk (56.69). The Vikings' 3,200 relay team of Sigg, Smantha Barr, Lizzy Ritschard and Emma Marion won in 10:51.62, about 12 seconds ahead of Monticello. Monticello added a second-place finish in the 1,600 relay (4:50.93).
