Raiders record 7th shutout of season

COLUMBUS — Sugar River, ranked No. 8 in Division 3, defeated Colubums 5-0 on Tuesday, May 2, marking the team’s seventh shutout of the season.

Bella Brenkman and Anya Brenkman accounted for all five of the Raiders’ goals. Bella Brenkman scored the first two goals in a span of ten minutes, while Anya ended the half with her first goal. She completed the hat trick with two goals in the second half. Addison Lutz didn’t face a single shot on goal.


Mount Horeb shuts out Monroe

MOUNT HOREB — The Cheesemakers couldn’t stop Rowan Severson, as the senior scored a hat trick with three assists in Mount Horeb’s 9-0 win over Monroe on Tuesday, May 2.

Mikayla Holler opened the game with a pair of goals just over a minute apart. Severson then scored her first two goals midway through the half. She assisted Anya McKay two minutes after her second goal, giving the Vikings a 5-0 lead.

McKay and Severson worked together again to score four minutes into the second half. In the 46th minute, Severson recorded a hat trick with an unassisted goal. Phoebe Aburomia and Gwen Motl got in on the scoring with a pair of goals three minutes apart.

Monroe had just two shots on goal.
