Fury knocked out

VIROQUA — The Fury saw their season come to an end with a 4-2 loss to Viroqua in the sectional semifinal on Tuesday, Feb. 21.  The Blackhawks had swept the Fury in the regular season by scores of 2-0 and 4-1.

Maizy Fonseca (Warren) paced Rock County with two points. She scored a power-play goal and assisted Amery Stuckey in her goal. Emma Kligora was the third skater to record a point, assisting Fonseca. The Fury outshot the Blackhawks 36-21.

In net, Jillian Traver recorded 17 saves with three goals. Viroqua’s final goal was on an empty net and does not count against Traver. For Viroqua, Lilliah Tambourine stopped 34 of 36 shots on goal.
