Evansville beats Cheese in dual 59-16

EVANSVILLE — Monroe lost to Evansville at a dual Dec. 7, 59-16.

The Cheesemakers received wins from Jack Dubach, Brady Schuh and Isaac Bunker.

Dubach, wrestling at 138 pounds, won by 19-5 major decision over Caleb Miller. Schuh, at 152, pinned Lee Jorgensen at the 29-second mark in the second period. Bunker pinned Cutter Lance at the 1:44 mark in the first in the heavyweight bout.

For the other 13 weight classes, the Cheesemakers gave up six forfeits, which equated to 36 points.

Evansville received wins in matches wrestled from Danny Heiser (120) over Garrett Voegeli by pin at 4:51; Camden Staver over Carson Menehan, 7-1; Max Kaether (145) over Ryan Holst, 8-70 Ricky Braunschweig (160) over Jace Amacher, 19-4, 5:40; Baylin Crull (220) over Austin Fuchs, pin at 2:45.
