SOUTH WAYNE — Corbin Kelley erupted for 24 second-half points to help the Comets fly past Black Hawk 64-52 Jan. 8.

Kelley hit six 3-pointers in the second half and finished the game with 26 points, while teammate Josh Dahl scored 17 and Jamison Stauffacher added 11.

Albany, which led 23-21 at halftime, went 8 of 9 from the charity stripe down the stretch in the second half to close the game.

Black Hawk was led by Conner Meyer, who scored 21 points. Kyle Lovelace had 13 points and Colby Argall added 12.


Pecatonica 66, Argyle 38

BLANCHARDVILLE — The Vikings jumped all over the Orioles from the start, jumping out to a 32-13 lead by halftime and growing the lead even further in the second half in their Jan. 8 conference clash.

Jaden Hendrickson scored 20 points to lead Pecatonica in scoring, while Colton Schraepfer had 10 and Bo Hendrickson nine. Zack Eaton and Carter Ruegsegger each finished with eight for the Vikings.

Williams Bay 55, Juda 35

JUDA — The Panthers trailed 26-17 at halftime and couldn’t get the offense into a rhythm in a nonconference loss Jan. 8.

Quinton Kammerer hit three 3s to lead Juda with 13 points, while Dogukan Yetgin scored eight. The Panthers hit just four 3-points in the game and finished 5-for-8 from the free throw line.

Jaden Randall was one of three Williams Bay players in double figures, scoring 17 points with a game-high five 3s.


Barneveld 67, Monticello 51

MONTICELLO — Malcom Reed scored 25 points to pace resurging Barneveld past the Ponies in a Six Rivers East game Jan. 8.

Reed and the Eagles took a 35-23 lead into the break and never looked back. Seth Sullivan had 19 points for Barneveld.

Monticello was led in scoring by Pete Gustafson, who had 17. Jeffrey Ace finished with 17 points and Reece Rufer added nine.


Evansville 81, Brodhead 57

EVANSVILLE — The Blue Devils had four players in double figures en route to a solid win over the Cardinals in Rock Valley action Jan. 8.

Brodhead fell behind 53-29 in the first half and could never pull back into the game.

Dawson McGinty paced the Cardinals with 19 points, while Dawson Van Whye had 14 and Ben Knuth added eight.

Evansville was led by Sully Geske’s 19. Seth Maag finished with 15, Davonte McAlister notched 17 and Ethan France chipped in 11 for the Blue Devils.
