CLINTON - It didn't take Black Hawk's girls basketball team long to find its groove on opening night.
The Warriors outscored Clinton by wide margins in every quarter of their 71-30 non-conference win Tuesday.
Paige Butler's 20 points led all scores, with Kim Wellnitz joining her in double digits with 13.
Black Hawk led 16-6 after the first quarter and 35-14 by halftime. Black Hawk then bumped its lead to 53-23 heading into the final frame.
Head coach Mike Flanagan saw his team continue to dominate all game, regardless of who was in the lineup.
Ten different players scored in the game. The Warriors pounded the ball inside and out, netting 24 shots from inside the arc and two from the outside.
Black Hawk will practice for the rest of the week before traveling to Belmont on Tuesday, Nov. 25.
