Dennis Trygve Strommen, age 67, passed away on August 25, 2024 while at the SSM Hospice House in Monroe.

Dennis was born in Monroe, WI, the son of Trygve and Charlene (Lentz) Strommen on May 28, 1957.

Dennis married Shawn Thompson on November 19, 1989.  She passed away in 2008.

Dennis worked and lived on his family farm since he was born and worked some occasional side jobs over the years at places like Super Soy. He enjoyed taking his boys hunting and fishing when they were younger, watching the Badgers and Packers play, tinkering with machinery on the farm and his later years riding his scooter around town.  Dennis also enjoyed baking sweets, collecting coins and he loved animals, especially his cats, Toby and Clyde.  But most of all, Dennis loved spending time with his family and friends, where he will be remembered as always having a great sense of humor.

Dennis is survived by his two children, Andy Stommen (Justina Schulze) and Shianne Strommen; 3 grandchildren, Gretchen, Julianna and William Strommen; one great grandchild, Da-kai Strommen; a brother, Kurt (Vicki) Strommen and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Shawn in 2008; his son, Ryan in 2008; and one sister, Karen Strommen.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family in his memory.
